PCAMM 2019

Saturday, December 7, 2019 – 2020 Kaiser Building at UBC (map)

This year’s Pacific Centre for Advanced Materials and Microstructures (PCAMM) conference will be held on the UBC campus, in Kaiser 2020, Saturday, December 7.  The theme for this year’s event is “Nanomaterials for Nanomedicine”, and the kickoff talk at 10 AM will be given by Pieter Cullus, the CEO and Scientific Director of the recently funded NCE: Nanomedicines Innovation Network – NMIN.  Pieter is a Professor in UBC’s Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.  The nanomedicine community is seeking expertise in nanomaterials, fabrication, optics and magnetic materials to enable targeted drug delivery. There will be a number of talks, theme-related and more general, presented before and after lunch, and the event will end at 4:30.
